Combat Readiness Medal

This is an Air Force award, created in 1964 awarded for qualifying service retroactive to 1 August 1960. It is and awarded for specific periods of qualifying service in a combat or mission-ready status:
being a member of a unit subject to combat readiness as specified in appropriate directives;
being individually certified as combat or mission ready and completing 24 months' sustained combat or mission readiness with no more than a 120 calendar day break; or
having completed 24 months' sustained combat or mission readiness with no more than a 120 calendar day break.
