Medal for Victory over Germany

To qualify for this, service of three months was required for armed forces personnel and six months or civilians, and the recipient had to have been engaged in battles in WW2. Civilians were eligible as they were involved in running warehouses, providing support functions for the forces, etc. Around 14.9 million of these medals were issued.
